It is with sadness that we must report the indefinite postponement of the International Conference of Ophthalmology and Optometry (ICOO). The Vietnam Ophthalmological Society (VOS) has announced its annual meeting coinciding on the same dates as ICOO in another city.

Due to various logistical challenges, we are unable to change dates at this time. Needless to say, we support ophthalmology and optometry in Vietnam. We encourage our supporters to attend the VOS annual meeting and make it a good one. Ophthalmology deserves the best efforts of everyone, as does optometry. We hope that ophthalmology and optometry will continue to find ways to collaborate in the future on an international level. And we had a great year last year with ICOO’s predecessor, the CAKE & PIE Expo, with some amazing things happening in Vietnam for the region.

All the best to the future collaboration of ophthalmology and optometry.
